Explore leadership styles with Amanda Downs, Director of Commercial Leadership at The Uspire Group and Founding Director of Sales Growth Expert and award-winning People and Culture Consultant Coleen Wiltshire. Amanda and Coleen support teams to drive the value they bring to their customers, and the capability of their people to sustain it. They understand the complexities and challenges of building a culture where people are motivated to succeed.

An individual’s management approach is strongly influenced by their personality preferences. In this Team Insights session Amanda and Coleen will provide tips using personal insights profiling and a simple and accessible four-colour model. This will help you to understand more about preferences, and how they can have a positive or negative influence on your Executives/those with whom you work with.

As a high performing Assistant, it’s fundamental to understand the different personality styles and appreciate how to be adaptable in an ever-changing work environment.

We spend a lot of team time talking and thinking about exactly what we need to do, the gift of this team tool is that it builds a common language to focus on how a team can adapt & connect with its stakeholders to be the best it can be. AMANDA DOWNS

Amanda is Director of Commercial Leadership at The Uspire Group and Founding Director of Sales Growth Expert .

Amanda has been working with Schroders since 2016 and has supported teams across the business. Her aim is to support teams to drive the value they bring to their customers, and the capability of their people to sustain it. This grows sales and profit by growing people.

Her workshops use no PPT. They involve a lot of team connecting, exercises and movement. She focuses on practical application of her tools and helping individuals to understand where they are ‘in flow”.

In addition to her work with Schroders, Amanda provides board strategy facilitation, leadership coaching and team success skills training to multinational brands as well as SME business owners and the NHS.

Amanda’s career started in sales & marketing, where she has held a number of board director positions in the UK and Ireland. She has focused on commercial leadership & and team capability since 2006. Amanda has worked with teams n apps, biscuits, industrial cleaners, banking, desserts, photocopiers, sandwiches, construction equipment, fine art, metals, fintech, health & nutrition, beer, bus tickets and baby food.

She is married to a drummer. They have two daughters, who sing and dance a lot. She loves growing things, especially vegetables, so expect some gardening references when she talks about sales growth!

COLEEN WILTSHIRE

Coleen Wiltshire is an award-winning People and Culture Consultant with a background in Human Resources and Learning & Development. With over 20 years’ experience working with leadership teams in the private and public sector, she understands the complexities and challenges of building a culture where people are motivated to succeed. Coleen partners with business owners across the UK, creating dynamic and tactical strategies to recruit the right people, train business leaders and their teams, increase engagement and build a ‘people first’ culture.

As a Master Liberating Leadership Practitioner and Insights Discovery Practitioner, Coleen specialises in building harmonious and effective relationships, encouraging a growth mindset and continuously demonstrating the ROI and benefits of an engaged workforce.
